On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, the second Robotics Conference by GIZELIS ROBOTICS was successfully held, this time in Northern Greece, under the theme "Modern Robotics and Automation Systems in the Greek Industry: Pillars of Sustainable Development and Competitiveness."

The event took place at the Amphitheater of the Center for the Dissemination of Sciences and the Museum of Technology NOESIS in Thermi, Thessaloniki, with the support of SEVE, the Alexandria Innovation Zone, EENE, and SVE, contributing to the awareness of our industrial enterprises regarding developments in modern robotics and automation technologies in the era of Industry 4.0.

The conference, attended by institutional representatives and high-ranking executives from the Greek industry and entrepreneurship, showcased state-of-the-art applications of modern robotics in selected dynamic industrial enterprises in the Greek market, with specific results in improving productivity and upgrading quality.

Mr. Anastasios Gounaris, Member of the Board of NOESIS and Professor at the Department of Computer Science at AUTH, addressed the opening of the event. Greetings were also extended by Honorary Guests: Ms. Maria Theodoseli from the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Macedonia Thrace, and Mr. Symeon Diamantidis, President of SEVE. Representing GIZELIS ROBOTICS, the event was inaugurated with a greeting from the founder and CEO of the company, Mr. Evangelos Gizelis, who spoke from the United States.

The first case study presented concerned the award-winning installation in the first smart factory in Greece, belonging to the company Calpak. The presentation was delivered by Mr. Panagiotis Lagios, CTO, and Co-Founder of Gizelis Robotics. Subsequently, successful applications of integrated robotic systems for palletization, handling, and encapsulation were presented in leading Greek industrial enterprises (HELLENIC DAIRIES SA - OLYMPUS, GREEK BREAD - ARABATZIS, MILK INDUSTRY HOMEROS SA, MACEDONIAN THRACE BREWERY), as well as intra-logistics handling at ABA FOODS ITALY.

The event concluded with a panel discussion on the topic: "The 4th Industrial Revolution and the Greek Industry: Opportunities and Development Possibilities," moderated by Mr. Dimitris Vergados, Chem. Eng., Director of SMEs & Information Department at SEVE. Participants included:
